Hi I’m Kai, a 31 year old entrepreneur who co-founded Bark.com with Andrew Michael. I’ve experienced all the challenges, hands-on, of rapidly growing a business to the £50m+ revenue stage and then successfully exiting in a short space of time - Bark is one of the very few to do this bootstrapped and significantly profitably. I am currently the CEO of Bark and I reinvested alongside the business being acquired by EMK Capital in April 2022.

Bark is an online service marketplace launched in 2015. We are currently live in 11 countries: UK, US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, India, Germany, France with further countries being added every year.
The business was bootstrapped and received no external funding until it was acquired by EMK Capital in April 2022. In 2022, revenues reached £70m+ whilst the team grew to 150 people. We are a lean group of ambitious and hard working high achievers who are changing the way services are bought and sold across the globe.
